With the help of Richterswil's local museum details about the property at Poststrasse 33 have become known.
The house was built using oak beams before 1736, according to annual figures. At that time, a bridge was built over the river, which was naturally open flowing.

The house has known several owners; the first registered in 1813 was Johann Hauser, a cooper. In 1829 Heinrich Burkhard started in the "Home on the river" a butchers store, and on the 1st floor a restaurant. He called it "grape". The same name inscription can still be seen in today’s facade.

After 1845 the open naturally flowing Dorfbach (town river) was covered over from the lake to the village square, and the new landlady of the restaurant "grape” was called Mrs. Karli. They were followed Mr. Sträuli, which still led the slaughterhouse in local house. In 1910 the property was transferred to Albert Greminger the horse butcher. In 1920 Mr. Müller started in the former butcher's shop, a bicycle business. Upstairs there still was the restaurant "grape". After another change of ownership the shop was equipped with sewing machines, and in 1955 the restaurant patent was finally abolished.

In 1955 Ferdinand Seiler bought the house and installed an electrical shop. Later, Mr. Brandenberg took over the business. In 1972, Rudolf and Margrit Bachmann bought the property together with the electric business. The house was subject again to renovations and Mr. Bachmann led his services until the 28th of February 2014.

By that date, the property was taken over by the present owners Elvira and Daniel Vaucher and was again completely rebuilt. On the ground floor and the 1st floors the current "Caffètino-Vino" and on the 2nd and 3rd floors today’s’ B & B. Also in the attic, is the studio of Daniel Vaucher.
